Event Attendance Tracking

Follow this link to open the manual attendance form. When it opens, go to File | Print to make a paper copy.

Paper Attendance Log for Club Use

 

To use the iCLASS reader to take attendance, please sign out the device from Campus Life and then follow these steps:

(Note, steps 1-5 must be completed 3 days in advance to ensure approval).

1. Go to https://forms.fredonia.edu/

2. Sign in with e-services info

3. Hover over Event Tracking and select Event Tracking Request

4. Enter all of the event information. In the title, include the date and location, along with the name of the event. Ignore External ID- unless you want to add a number that will help you associate your event with something. This field can be left blank. The start time should be the actual event start time (not set up time, as you can start checking students in 2 hours earlier if need be).

5. Submit for approval

6. Rachel Martin or Mark Suida will need to approve the event

7. After approval, you will receive an email with a link https://ww4.fredonia.edu/EventAttendance and a code. Click the link when you want to start checking in students. You can scan students in up to 2 hours before the event "start" and 2 hours after the "end" time of the event.

8. When you arrive at https://ww4.fredonia.edu/EventAttendance, click "select event"

9. Find your event in the drop down.

10. Enter the code from the email

11. Click "Entrance" to sign in students.

12. Have the card reader connected via USB to a laptop

13. Have students tap their FRED Card on the square

14. You will hear a beep, and see the student's name on the screen

You can also track when they leave (if you want a time stamp in on it) by selecting the EXIT option.
